Stories Around the Campfire

Join us for an evening of storytelling around the campfire presented by renowned Utah authors Darren Parry and Nan Seymour. Darren, author of The Bear River Massacre, will be sharing stories of his Shoshone people’s history and connections to the land. Nan will be sharing her new story ‘Lake Woman Leaving’, which won an Alfred Lambourne prize in fall of 2022.

Hot beverages and a warm campfire will be provided- please bring a camp chair, blanket, and reusable mug if you have one.

All our events are free and open to the public, with the State Park entrance fee of $10. Please consider making a donation to support the efforts of Wasatch Mountain Institute.
